PURPOSE: To provide a method for improving a keratin fiber, capable of persistently and efficiently imparting sufficient tension and stiffness to the keratin fiber such as hair and giving an excellent touch. CONSTITUTION: A method for improving a keratin fiber comprises allowing an N-acyltaurine type surfactant of general formula: RCONHCH2 CH2 SO3 M (RCO is a 8-22C saturated or unsaturated fatty acid residue; M is hydrogen atom, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium or an alkanol ammonium) and a polyvalent metal salt to separately permeate the keratin fiber. |
