PURPOSE: To inform a passing visually handicapped person accurately of information such as the direction of a road, a danger zone, the existence of an obstruction, etc., and enable safe and sure guidance, to enable disposal at a comparatively low cost and simply in the same manner as a conventional braille point block, to reduce operation cost because of easy maintenance and small power consumption and to facilitate handling by the unnecessity of a power supply by a reception means used by the visually handicapped person. CONSTITUTION: A high-frequency current is applied to a magnetic coil installed to a guidance block 1 disposed on a road surface from a proper power supply such as a solar cell, and an AC magnetic field is generated on the surface of the guidance block 1. When a stick 3 held by a visually handicapped person is brought near to the surface of the guidance block 1, an induction coil for a receiver 27 fitted at the front end of the stick is entered into the magnetic field, thus generating power by electromagnetic induction, then operating an output means 29 mounted on the grip section of the stick. The output means 29 generates vibrations and a signal sound, thus transmitting necessary information to the visual handicapped person holding the stick. |
