PURPOSE: To eliminate the problem of clogging and to obtain the excellent resolution and gradation in an image by incorporating dyestuff represented by a specific formula and having specific molecular weight in a heat transfer recording material in which a porous structure is guided to a transfer part by capillarity and transferred by the stage change by heating. CONSTITUTION: A heat transfer recording material in which the problem of clogging is eliminated by utilizing the advantages of both a heat transfer type and an ink jet type comprises dyestuff (yellow dyestuff) represented by the general formula and having a molecular weight of 400 or lower. In the formula, A is p-phenylene group which may have a substituent, R<1> , R<2> are hydrogen atom, alkyl group or alkenyl group, cycloalkyl group or phenyl group. In case of recording, the material is guided to the transfer having a porous structure by capillarity, subjected to stage change like vaporization or dropped by heating, and hence transferred to a material to be transferred opposed to the transfer. |
