<p>PURPOSE: To provide a paper feeding device which can effectively restrain oblique movement of a sheet and generation of jam due to oblique movement. CONSTITUTION: A feeding force granting means is arranged so that moment around a straight line (pickup pressure adjusting axis) 10L connecting a supporting point 2p, 3p of an intermediate plate 1 supported with the supporting shaft of a side plate to the energization point 4p energized by the feeding force granting means makes contact pressure Fa,Fb on the contact points 6p, 7p of a pair of pickup rollers and a sheet to be equal to each other, and hence feed force (Fa, Fb) granted from a pair of the pickup rollers to the sheet are made to be equal to each other. Hereby, uniform feeding force is granted from the pickup rollers to the sheet, and the sheet is fed in a fixed direction without generating oblique movement and jam due to oblique movement.</p> |
