<p>PURPOSE: To put a paper guide member into an opened position from a closed position without trouble so as to be able to take out jammed paper easily by providing an interference control means for driving a moving means on the basis of a jam detection signal and moving a paper regulating member into a non-interacting section. CONSTITUTION: Paper stored in a paper feeding device 3 is conveyed to an image forming part 2 through a conveying path 5 and then discharged outside of a device body 1. In case of double-side photocopying, on the other hand, the paper having passed the image forming part 2 is conveyed to an ADU tray 4 through a branch conveying path 5a, then merged into the conveying path 5 by an ADU paper feeding device 27 and refed to the image forming part 2. In case of a jam being generated, normal image forming action is stopped, and a moving rear end plate 22 positioned in an interference section A is moved forward into a position in a non-interacting section B. A user can therefore put a paper guide 7 in an open position without hindrance and remove jammed paper.</p> |
