PURPOSE: To secure desulfurization performance even in the low-load region of a boiler and to stably operate a flue gas desulfurizer at all times by outputting an opening degree command signal to each flow control value so that the actual extraction flow rate of absorbent is equal to the necessary extraction flow rate and the actual discharge flow rate of absorbent is equal to the necessary discharge flow rate thereof. CONSTITUTION: An absorbent extraction flow control valve 11 and an absorbent extraction flowmeter 13 for detecting the actual absorbent extraction flow rate 12 are disposed on an absorbent extraction line 2, and an absorbent discharge flow control valve 14 and an absorbent discharge flowmeter 16 for detecting the actual absorbent discharge flow rate 15 are furnished on an absorbent discharge line 5. An opening degree command signal 19 is outputted to the flow control valve 11 so that a necessary absorbent extraction flow rate 18 obtained from a boiler load signal 17 is equal to the actual absorbent extraction flow rate 12, and the controller 22 is installed to output an opening degree command signal 21 to the flow control valve 14 so that a necessary absorbent discharge flow rate 20 obtained from the boiler load signal 17 is equal to the actual absorbent discharge flow rate 15.
