PURPOSE: To produce a solvent cast film from polyphenylene ether alone by setting casting temp. and drying temp. to a temp. range from specific temp. to below the boiling temp. of a solvent and setting a drying temp. to a specific temp. or less. CONSTITUTION: The temp. in both of casting and drying processes is set to a temp. range from 35 deg.C, pref., 40 deg.C, especially pref. 50 deg.C to the b.p. of a solvent so as not to generate foaming. Since spin coating is performed through the air, the evaporation speed of the solvent becomes extremely fast and a drying time can be easily set to 30sec or less and liquid temp. or the temp. of a coating film can be easily held to high temp. By this constitution, a film composed of polyphenylene ether alone can be easily obtained as compared with a conventional method. |
