摘要 PURPOSE: To provide an electronic endoscope with a small diameter and simplified inside configuration, by forming an air gap part responding to an image pickup area onto an image pickup element side in the objective optical system in contact with the image pickup plane of the image pickup element. CONSTITUTION: A glass plate 23 is placed so that an opening 22 thereof is positioned on the central part of an image pickup possible area S of a CCD 18, and the glass plate 23 is directly adhered to a microlens 20. Similarly, an assembly body (part) is to be completed by adhering a prism to the glass plate 23 and assembling each members, and gas for degradation prevention of a prescribed color filter is sealed in and the air tightness is maintained. A space with a length t2 formed by the opening 22 of the glass plate 23 becomes an air gap between the CCD 18 and the prism 15 and it cause to eliminate the air gap in the package. Consequently the length of the assembly body in the endoscope diameter direction can be reduced by at least a length of the air gap and it contributes to reduce the diameter of the endoscope.
