摘要 PURPOSE: To reduce frictional coefficient constantly under a non-lubricating condition by selecting a combination of in-liquid sliding members with surface hardness and in-liquid surface energy specified. CONSTITUTION: In selecting a combination of two members which slide relatively in liquid or lubricating atmosphere, the surface hardness of the sliding surfaces of both the members is 70kgf/mm<2> or more in Brinell hardness or Vickers hardness. Both the members are selected so that surface energyΔγin the liquid of the sliding surfaces of both the members calculated from a formula may be 100mJ.m<-2> , whereγL: Surface energy of liquid,γA,γB: Surface energy of sliding surfaces of both members, Super-script d: Variance component of surface energy, and Super-script p: Polarity component of surface energy.
