PURPOSE: To prevent foreign matters from entering a hydraulic cylinder even if the foreign matters are mixed into the operating oil and prevent the malfunction of a trim tilt action by arranging the reservoir tank of the operating oil below an oil pump, and providing the operating oil feed port of the reservoir tank above the bottom face of the tank. CONSTITUTION: A motor 13 and an oil pump 14 for feeding the operating oil to a hydraulic cylinder 11 and a reservoir tank 15 for temporarily storing the operating oil are arranged in the vertical direction in parallel with the hydraulic cylinder on the side of the hydraulic cylinder 11. An operating oil guide port formed on the tank 15 to feed the operating oil from the reservoir tank 15 to the oil pump 14 is provided at the position above the bottom face of the tank 15. When an outboard engine is vertically rocked within the upper range of the tilt range by the movement of only a tilt piston, such a malfunction is surely prevented that a trim piston is moved in a cylinder main body 16 to cause a trim action.
