PURPOSE: To provide an endoscope capable of simply performing operation even in a case of to recording identical stationary images in plural recording device. CONSTITUTION: This endoscope is equipped with at least two image recording means 131 and 133 to record images picked up by an endoscope 105, input means (11, 13a, 13b, 119) to generate at least two kinds of recording instruction signals based on discrimination result by discriminating at least two kinds of strokes with different lengths, and a control means 125 to select an image recording means to record an image according to the kind of a record instruction signal and to record images in the image recording means.
