PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge the condensed water from plural chambers smoothly by extracting the condensed water generated in a bottom external shell through a siphon tube and discharging this condensed water from a muffler, by the pressure difference between a bottom external chamber and flow tube. SOLUTION: The muffler 10 formed by a formed sheet metal constitution member has a bottom and upper inner plates 12, 14, bottom and upper inside shells 16, 18 and bottom and upper outside shells 20, 22 and an exhaust gas is introduced in from an inlet nipple 23. In the bottom inside shell 16, the fine diameter groove 68 with a nearly semi-circular cross section is formed between outlet insertion parts 62, 65 and the portion staying on both sides of the groove 68 of the bottom inside shell 16 is stuck to the deeply squeezed part 37 of the outlet flow route 36 staying on the bottom inner plate 12. Thereby, a siphon tube is formed and the condensed water can be streamed in the deeply squeezed part 37 of the bottom inner plate 12 through the groove 68 from the siphon inlet louver formed on the said tube. |
