PURPOSE: To improve reliability of the whole system by providing a set value backup means in which a set value is reproduced and stored on another copier machine on the same network system and if necessary, it is reflected in the original copier machine. CONSTITUTION: At first, a remote machine registration command for making other machines on the network recognize its own machine is transmitted to all the copier machines on the network (the step 1). The copier machines on the side in which electric source loading is processed receive the registration commands transmitted from all the copier machines of the system (the step 2) and check if they have backup data (the step 3). When no copier machine with the data is found at all, a command for requiring backup of 'user setting' is transmitted to an arbitrary one of the copier machines which have informed to be able to back up and the ID of the copier machine is stored the steps 4 and 5. |
