PURPOSE: To provide a manufacturing method and a device of a hairline finishing metallic belt by which hairline polishing can be simultaneously performed on both surfaces of a metallic belt and which has excellent surface quality. CONSTITUTION: Winding of an upper polishing belt 36 and a lower polishing belt 44 is respectively started by an upward appearing side winder 38 and a downward appearing side winder 43, and an abrasive is injected from an upward entering side injection nozzle 40 and a downward entering side injection nozzle 46. Afterwards, simultaneously with a start of plate feed of stainless steel belt 21, a presser roller 39 is lowered, and the upper polishing belt 36 is pressed to and brought into contact with an upper surface of the stainless steel belt 21, and the lower polishing belt 44 is pressed to and brought into contact with an under surface of the stainless steel belt 21, respectively. Therefore, a hairline polishing device 29 can perform hairline finishing polishing on both surfaces while sandwiching the traveling-feeding stainless steel belt 21 from both surfaces by the upper and under polishing belts 36 and 44. |
