PRODUCTION OF AQUEOUS DISPERSING ELEMENT OF POLYESTER RESIN

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject aqueous dispersing element capable of forming a film excellent in water resistance, etc., and having good hydrolysis resistance in storing a water dispersing element. CONSTITUTION: This method for producing an aqueous dispersing element of polyester resin comprises dissolving and dispersing a polyester resin composed of a polycarboxylic acid component containing >=40mol% of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid containing 2-10mol% of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid in which a group expressed by the general formula SO3 M (M is hydrogen atom or a metal atom) is bonded to aromatic nuclei and a polyol component and having 0.5-10KOHmg/g acid value into water in the presence of a basic substance at >=100 deg.C. The resultant polyester resin aqueous dispersing element is readily obtained without entirely using an organic solvent and has good storage stability and is obtained by dispersing into water using a smaller hydrophilic group amount compared with a conventional method.
