PURPOSE: To obtain a base which shows an excellent elongation, an excellent stress relaxation, a good drawability, a good follow of curved surface and a good adhesion, and can be used in medical application without any trouble since it can well follow the bending and stretching of a limb at a joint through expansion and contraction thereof, and can quickly relax any stress. CONSTITUTION: A compsn. comprising at least two different acrylic monomers capable of forming respective polymers different from each other in glass transition temp. is polymerized to prepare a mixture of acrylic copolymers wherein the distribution of compsns. different in the content of one component ranges over 40%, and the mixing proportion of the copolymers in the compsn. range of±10% around a base point which is the proportion of said one component used to all the acrylic monomers is at most 60%. The mixture is formed into a base having an elongation at ordinary temp. of at least 50%, a 50% modulus of 0.5 to 20MPa and a stress half-life of at most 1min after elongation thereof by 50%. One or both surfaces of the base are provided with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer(s) to produce a pressure-sensitive adhesive member.
