PURPOSE: To produce a row material fiber for a paper material enabling a wide improvement in the cost for producing paper and capable of producing an aromatic polyester paper of high strength and modulus of elasticity, excellent in chemical and heat resistances, etc., and having excellent formation and molten anisotropy, and to provide a method for producing paper material and paper by using the fiber. CONSTITUTION: This row material fiber for paper material is a conjugate spun fiber composed of a composition (A) consisting of a polyester having molten liquid crystallinity and a single fiber fineness of 1-6 denier and a component (B) consisting of a polymer blend containing a molten liquid crystal polyester as an island component corresponding to 0.005-0.1 denier and an easily alkaline- thinning polyester as a sea component. The ratio of the molten liquid-crystal polyester in the conjugate spun fiber is >=60wt.%. |
