The device for controlling the stepping motor comprises a magnetic rotor and a stator, with a number of switches controlling the voltages applied to the coils of the stator in a repetitive sequence. This comprises four successive phases of control (I-IV), arranged such that when the voltage (Vc) of the source become greater than a determined threshold, the control unit controls the opening and closing of the switches according to a modified sequence. The modified sequence of control a reduction in the strength of the current flowing in the coils by comparison with the nominal values, thus reducing the couple applied to the rotor. |
