The cleaner has a pump (7), a suction nozzle ( 10) and a filter (12) in a circuit (8,9) connecting the pump to the nozzle. A frame (1) supports a centrifugal separator (14) and a filter (12) fitted to the circuit connecting pump and nozzle. A canister (16) placed beneath the centrifugal separator collects hazardous particles brought in by the suction unit. The canister can be detached from the separator, with access through a closed glove compartment beneath the separator and filter. The canister projects into this compartment and can be removed using the glove (6). A similar glove chamber at the top of the frame allow access to the top (17) of the filter so it can be removed.
