FIELD: cleaning of articles. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing movement of pipes transversely of working direction by rotating conveyor from input end to output end through cleaning zone; cleaning pipe inner and outer surfaces by liquid jets. Apparatus 1 for cleaning pipes 22 has rotating drum-shaped conveyor 12, longitudinal side wall 6, input end positioned adjacent to wall 6, outlet end positioned adjacent to opposite side wall 7, cleaning zone 25, where washing jet cleaning unit 27 is mounted. Unit 27 is adapted to wash inner and outer surfaces of pipe 22 by high-pressure liquid jets 11, with liquid being supplied at high flow rates. EFFECT: increased efficiency in cleaning pipes, wider operational capabilities and enhanced reliability in operation. 4 dwg |
