The ladder frame reduces the vibration of a cylinder block, and minimizes mixing a combustion gas and air, induced in a crank case, with an engine oil to prevent a change of the engine oil properties. The ladder frame comprises: transverse members(2), formed in multi-step and connected to connection members(2,2'), having a little recessed upper surface shaped as the movement trajectory(13) of a large part of a connecting rod(12); holes(4,4') formed in the center of a recess formed in the connection members(3,3'); a plurality of fixed bosses(6) formed on both sides of the transverse members(2) for bolting the transverse members with a skirt(11) of a cylinder block(10).
