FIELD: couplings for solid pipes and those built up of two halves (so-called repair pipes). SUBSTANCE: coupling is built up of two half-couplings with packing placed between external wall of pipe and internal wall of coupling; packing has packing member separated at least once along pipe coupling, better made of elastomer or soft adjustable thermoplastic material, or any similar material; on its underside, it has ribs entering respective depressions on inner wall of coupling and is locked in position by means of lug formed on longitudinal side that enters longitudinal slot on one or both half-couplings of pipe coupling. EFFECT: improved packing of pipes. |
