FIELD: repair and restoration of damaged structural members, ship's floors in particular. SUBSTANCE: sections of panel are cut in floor under repair leaving connected strakes of skin Deformed members (together with connected strakes) are repaired by known methods, if necessary and their connected strakes are bent to plane of required position of skin of floor. Size of connected strake which is left on either side is selected depending on amount of sagging of skin at distance from this member where connected strake will be welded to new panel later on. This size is determined approximately as sum of distances from member to area of subsequent connection of section of strake to new skin and amount of sagging of skin at the same area. Bent connected strakes are straightened (are cut, for example) to surface of intersecting with new panel. For better faying of new panel to floor under repair sections of connected strakes and skin adjoining the contour of panel to be applied are cut out (if panel falls on uncut section of deformed floor). Then new panel is laid which is rigidly secured over contour and edges of connected strakes of members. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. |
