2-Substituted benzimidazole cpds. of formula (I) and their salts are new. R = H, halo, CF3 or 1-4C alkoxy; R1 = H, 1-4C alkyl, phenyl, or 1-4C alkyl-phenyl; R2 = H or 1-4C alkyl; R3 = a group of formula (i) or (ii); R4 = H or methyl; and n = 1- 3.
