The bicycle wheel of 1 m diameter and a development of about 3.15 m is incorporated in the bicycle frame (2) which closely follows the wheel circumference. Free wheel pinions (6) on either side the wheel provide choice of transmission ratios. Two pinions (B,A) on the right of the pedal hub are used for normal running and a pinion (C) on the left side left pinion for high speed. There are two chains for coupling to the right and left rear pinions. There are four movable balance weights (4,4b) sliding on the radial spokes (9) with return springs returning them towards the centre stop.
