FIELD: physics. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to field of training aids for physics and can be used for demonstration of potential character of electric field during lecture or laboratory practical work in educational institutions of various types. Method includes excitation by generator 1 of field of electric currents flowing between metal electrodes 2 in fluid conductive medium 3. Probe 5 and indicator 6 are used to measure distribution of potential along surface of conductive medium. Probe is mechanically coupled to mouse 7 of computer 8 with monitor 9 and printer 10. Graphic frame corresponding to capacitance 4 is generated on screen of monitor. Moving mouse 7 together with probe 5 equipotential and force lines are plotted directly on monitor 9 and their printouts are produced with the aid of printer 10.
