METHOD FOR PRODUCING PROTEIN HYDROLYSATE FROM LEATHER PRODUCTION WASTES

FIELD: reprocessing of leather production wastes. SUBSTANCE: method involves thermal treatment of raw scrapings with sulfuric acid solution with concentration not exceeding 5% by weight of raw material at temperature of 95 plus or minus 5 C for 3-5 hours; cooling; conducting hydrolysis by sulfuric acid solution with concentration of 8-15% by weight of raw material at temperature of 95 plus or minus 5 C for 8-16 hours; neutralizing by aqueous solution of ammonia to provide pH value of 5.5-6.5. Ready product (hydrolysate) may be used as bacteria growth factor in nutrient mediums for microbiological industry. EFFECT: increased efficiency and simplified method.
