The identity card (1) has a fluorescent logo (2,F). An electrostatically charged stamp is used to produce the logo. Alternatively a similar electrostatically charged roller is used. The surface of the card is treated first with lacquer. The material of the card itself is plastic or paper coated with a plastic layer.
