A device for controlling the operation of pivotable members intended to be pivoted open simultaneously or virtually simultaneously to leave a passage free. In particular, said members are gates and other pivotable members capable of obstructing the path of a weapon in a launch tube provided with a weapon launching circuit using an air supply unit on a submarine. The device comprises, on the rotational axis (A, C, C) of each gate or pivotable member (1, 2, 3), and on the rotational axis (D) of a rotary member connected to the air supply unit, means for converting rotation into translation (6, 7), means for converting translation into rotation (7, 6), and related means (8, 9) for quantising such conversions. The means for converting translation into rotation about the rotational axis (D) of the rotary member are operated by the means for converting rotation into translation (6, 7) about the rotational axis (A, B, C) of each gate or pivotable member (1, 2, 3), in association with the quantising means (8, 9).
