Gas sensor heating element temp. stabilisation

The temp. of a gas sensor is stabilised by measuring the ambient temp.. The electrical power needed to bring the heating element to its desired temp. is measured, as is the resistance of the heating element. The operation of the heating element is controlled to keep the resistance constant. The measurements are repeated at a time interval determined by the temporal drift of the heating element resistance.
