Maintenance appts. for remote working on the threaded sockets in a nuclear reactor pressure vessel into which are screwed the bolts for securing the lid (3), has a device (22,24,25) to centralise the drive housing (14) over a bolt hole (7) in the lid (3) and above over the threaded socket in the pressure vessel; a tool holder (142) which can move axially w.r.t. the threaded socket, fixed the upper end of guide tube (152) and with a work head (30,60) attached to the its free end.
