When fitting the door (1) a spacer section (6) in the form of a hollow chamber profile is mounted underneath the sill (4) to bridge the area between the rough concrete ground (5) and the sill. The spacer section can have an engagement profile to fit into the sill. The spacer section can be formed from at least two interfitting or inter-sliding profiled rails (6a,6b). The rails have several horizontal grooves (7) and strips engaging in same. The grooves and strips are arranged evenly vertically spaced in the upper and/or lower area of the profiled rails. The spacer profile can be an extruded hollow chamber plastics section.
