Full sack stacking machine - has aligning and flattening devices working with feed conveyor to form uniform layers on pallet

The machine stacks full sacks in regular layers on a pallet. It comprises a sack aligning device (1), to which the sacks (3, 4) are delivered lying flat by a conveyor (2) in a pattern such as to form a layer near the stacking point. A flattening device brings the sacks travelling on the conveyor to a uniform thickness, and lengthwise and transverse mechanism (5, 6) bring the layer to the desired length and width, after which it is deposited on the pallet. The sack can be aligned by means of a conveyor belt of width at least equal to that of the layer to be formed, with a stop moving up and down and temporarily halting the sacks in transit. Two lateral guides are hinged to deflect the sacks to one or the other sides of the belt.
