Interface between silver recovery unit and film developer

An interface (15) between a film developer (1) and its silver recovery unit (11) uses sensors (10) for detecting the operating condition of the pumps (9a,9b) serving the supply and fixative baths (3d,3b). The sensors are installed outside the pumps to avoid interference with flow lines or with the electronic pump control (24). The output signal from the sensors leads through a circuit of switches in series comprising an amplifier, first filter, rectifier, second filter and comparator. Through the interface silver recovery units are connected simply and quickly to developers of different types, without the need for any special cables, and developer operating conditions are monitored.
