PROTECTIVE COLLOIDS

摘要

The invention deals with the polymerisation of unsaturated monomers in an aqueous medium and with protective colloids used during such polymerisation reactions. These protective colloids are water-soluble, non-ionic polyurethanes produced from polyisocyanates, water-soluble polyalkylene glycols with at least 70 % by weight ethylene glycol, and branched alcohols with at least 3 hydroxyl groups. These protective colloids are characterised by a certain ratio between water-soluble polyalkylene glycols and polyhydric branched alcohols.
