The room air is pref. cooled in two heat exchangers (1.1,1.2), which contain cooling medium, and are divided by divider panels (1.2.1, 2.1.1) into separate air flow passages. The cooled air drops down through two air shafts (2.1,2.2) of different lengths. It emerges into the upper room area through an air outlet (3.1) from the shorter shaft. Due to acceleration and the long distance to the floor, sufficient room air is induced, to reduce the temperature differential in the area occupied by people. Air is discharged via a second outlet (3.2), which is pref. located slightly higher above the floor, to increase the degree of turbulence, and for better reduction of the high temperature differentials in areas occupied by people.
