<p>This invention relates to a cold water production apparatus for producing cold water by a refrigerating machine. The present invention sequentially passes cold water through an evaporator (1) of a compression type refrigerator and an evaporator (8) of an absorption type refrigerator in the order named, detects the inlet of the absorption type refrigerator (outlet temperature of the compression type refrigerator) and controls both refrigerators on the basis of this detected temperature so that the load of the compression type refrigerator is always greater than that of the absorption type refrigerator. According to this construction, the load can be preferentially applied to the compression type refrigerator and an energy-saving operation can be carried out by making the most of the characteristics of the respective refrigerators.</p> |
