The engine compartment and passenger car interior are separated by a front wall (18) with through apertures for control pedals, brake (27), clutch, and gas. From the front wall extends into the car interior, a dashboard with adjacent cover (21), extending from the dashboard underside to the front wall and laterally up to the body wall, with recesses (26) for the pedal mechanism penetration. The cover edges are sealed and the pedal recesses are fitted with insulating sleeves (31) for the pedal members, extending from the cover side, facing the front wall along the pedal components.
