Paper folding machine drive for rotary printing press

A drive for a folding machine of a rotary printing press has perforated rollers(3,4), transverse folding devices(16 to 19) and longitudinal folding devices (28,36). A position-controlled motor (13,etc) is assigned to rotating components (3, etc) driving each separate vibration-intensive functional unit (11,etc). The motor is joined positively with the rotating components of the functional unit by means of a drive train (8,etc). Each functional unit has a position sensor (66, etc) and a drive controller (76, etc) assigned to it. All the drive controllers are joined by a data bus.
