The present invention relates to the use of compounds of formula (I) wherein R<1> is independently hydrogen, hydroxy, alkyl with from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, acyloxy with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, alkoxy with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or from 1 to 5 sugar moieties and R<2> is indenpendently hydrogen, alkyl with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or alkoxycarbonyl having a straight or branched C1-6 alkyl moiety, preferably methyl, or a pharmaceuticaly acceptable salt or ester thereof, and the compounds of formula (I) comprise any optical isomers thereof in the form of separated, pure, or partially purified optical isomers or racemic mixtures thereof for the preparation of a medicament.
