<p>A method for securely inputting data into a portable data medium having a wired-logic electronic component. Said data are input in at least two steps in two separate locations. In the first step, data depending on the choice of the second location are input into the first location, and in the second step, data required for operation of the medium are input into the second location. The method is useful for securing portable electronic transaction media against theft.</p> |
