<p>The invention concerns an automatic control system in a ship provided with rotatable propeller devices for automatic maintenance of the course of the ship and for controlling the course in accordance with a preset course. The ship (S) is provided with one or several pairs of propeller devices, in which the propeller devices (1,2) that constitute a pair have been arranged symmetrically in relation to the centre line (L) of the ship and are connected to the central unit of the automatic control system, which unit can be connected optionally to control the propeller devices (1,2) that form a pair symmetrically or asymmetrically. In the invention, the automatic control system is provided with a control unit, by whose means, irrespective of the situation of operation of the central unit of the automatic control system, the propeller devices (1,2) that form a pair can be connected to stick out by turning the propeller devices (1,2) in opposite directions in relation to the longitudinal centre line (L) of the ship (S) so as to regulate the speed of the ship (S). <IMAGE></p> |
