The relief pressure control method, in the power steering system composed of an oil pump(100), an oil reservoir(500), and a relief valve(200), includes the steps of: dividing the relief line into a relief valve(200) and an additional solenoid valve(210); relieving overpressure with the relief valve(200) when the pressure of power cylinder(400) increases fast according to the external condition; and relieving below the set pressure if the handle is fully rotated at the stopped state by compensating required pressure through the solenoid valve.
