发明名称 Process of production of a charge-exchanger body having a high active surface area and use of the charge-exchanger body
摘要 In the mfr of. a charge exchange body such as an electrode or catalyst having an active surface area which is large in comparison to its external surface area, hollow biochemical bodies are formed from a dispersion to produce particles having a mean dia. of less than 1 micron. The internal chambers of the hollow biochemical bodies have a known mean internal dia. of less than 1 micron, and in over 60% of the bodies, the internal dia. deviates by a maximum of 40% from the statistical mean. Salts are added to the dispersion which dissolve and form structural ions, these consisting of an element required for the support material or a corresponding cpd. thereof. The ions are caused to enter the hollow chambers in the biochemical bodies where they form the particles of the support material or an appropriately shaped precursor of it. The shells of the bodies are then removed to release the particles of the support material or its precursor. Also claimed is the use of the process for the prodn. of the material for electrodes and catalysts.
