The present invention relates to an aerodynamic fluid film bearing. This bearing includes between a sleeve (11) and a rotary shaft (12), at least one bearing subassembly (13) exhibiting an upper strip (14), at least one set of corrugated strips (16) and, between the upper strip and each set of corrugated strips, a reinforcing strip (15) exhibiting at least one lobe of given curvature secured to each set of corrugated strips. The curvature of the reinforcement strip is greater than the radius of curvature of the sleeve. Such a bearing exhibits the advantage of having a low start-up torque and start-up speed.
