<p>Elongated platform on which goods to be processed are moved forward, extends through a kiln for prodn. of glazed tiles. The platform is supported by a structure extending through an opening in the bottom of the kiln, which is narrower than the platform. Supporting structure, in its turn is held by links attached at their bottom end to a bearing plate on which a vibrator plate is fixed. Elastically deformable props or struts capable of limited motion support the bearing plate and are fixed to an anchorage plate. Used to replace the bogies of tunnel kilns for the prodn. of tiles of all kinds, by a vibrating surface, which results in a threefold advantage. Firstly, considerable economies of energy are made, secondly the ceramic goods of whatever shape can be fired on a perfectly flat surface at a forward speed which can be regulated according to programme and thirdly, equipment and maintenance costs are reduced. A kiln of the same breadth and length as normal, i.e. 2m. x 60m. offers great economies in bogies, moulds, handwork, storage room, etc. since pieces of any size can be laid on the platform without other support.</p> |
