<p>PURPOSE: To provide a paper feeding tray in which side fences are prevented from dislocation and whose controllability is enhanced. CONSTITUTION: Inside a paper tray 1, lock levers 10, 11 are pivoted on side fences 2, 3 provided in such a way as to be movable in a direction perpendicular to the direction of paper feeding, and a spring 12 and a plate spring 13 are attached to the upper end of each lever, the other end of the spring 12 being secured to the projecting part of the side fence 2. A pressure panel 16 greater in width at the front of than at the rear of a main body device is provided above the tray 1. When the tray 1 is inserted into the main body device 100, the plate spring 13 abutting to the pressure panel 16 energize the lock lever 1 to lock the deeper side fence 3. When the tray is pulled out, the plate spring 13 leaves the pressure panel 16, unlocking the side fence 3. The side fence 2 is unlocked by pushing of the upper end of the lock lever 10 after the tray is pulled out.</p> |
