PURPOSE: To provide the POS system where a file system and business procedures accompanied with this system are improved to easily execute the business which cannot be easily executed in conventional techniques. CONSTITUTION: In the POS system which is provided with a scanner 142 or the like as a commodity register means and is connected to a store processor 101 as a host computer to perform the single article information management, a data part consisting of a set of information of each commodity such as the commodity code, the commodity price, and the commodity name required for commodity registration and an accumulator part which totalizes sales data like proceeds or the number of articles of each commodity are provided as independent files 161 and 163 to independently perform the processing of file management. |
