PURPOSE: To obtain a new protein as a bovine-derived protein having calcium- binding property and transmitting calcium signal as an intracellular information transmitting factor and useful as diagnostics, etc., of inflammatory disease, tumor, cutaneous disease, blood disease, etc. CONSTITUTION: The objective new calcium-binding protein derived from a bovine contains substantially the same amino acid sequence as an amino acid sequence containing amino acid sequence expressed by the formula and has an action transmitting a calcium signal by an intracellular calcium ion as a transmitting factor becoming to a key of intracellular information transmission, and is useful for diagnosis, etc., of inflammatory disease, tumor disease, cutaneous disease, blood disease, etc., by measuring of its inner blood concentration. The protein is obtained by making amniotic fluid of a bovine in gestation of 4 months to acidic, removing generated precipitant, subjecting to a cation-exchange chromatography, eluting an adsorbate, fractionating by gel filtration, subjecting resultant active fraction to a counteracting chromatography and purifying. |
