PURPOSE: To prevent a contact failure with the lapse of time between male and female metal shields. CONSTITUTION: In a connecting structure of shield metal for bringing contact protruding plate parts on the top ends of cylindrical male and female metal shields into contact to each other, a pair of locking hook pieces 5 to the contact protruding plate part 4 of one metal shield 3 are formed on the contact protruding plate part 2 of the other metal shield 1. The locking hook pieces 5 are formed on both sides of a slit 6 between the adjacent contact protruding plates. Further, in a connecting structure of shield metal for brining the contact protruding plate parts of both metal shields installed to male and female connectors into contact to each other, a pressing& spring part for energizing the contact protruding plate part of either one metal shield toward the contact protruding plate part of the other metal shield is provided on at least 0115 connector housing. Both the contact protruding plate Parts have contact projections and diameter extended parts to the contact projections.
